DFW WATCH IT, LIFE THREATENING SITUATION

A very dangerous and life threatening situation is in progress. Thunderstorm wind gusts to 80 mph, hail to softball size and tornadoes are likely in the next hour for the dallas/fort worth metroplex.

A tornado warning is in effect in tarrant county including fort worth as of 8:05 PM EST 7:05 PM CST. A very dangerous and life threatening situation for Fort Worth, Dallas, and DFW airport. Take shelter on the lowest floor of your house away from exterior walls that doesn't have windows. Stay calm, but act quickly. If you have a basement, head into a basement.

I'll say the severe weather outbreak Saturday afternoon into Saturday evening was significant news, something that would have made national news without war coverage.

Saturdays severe was very significant, but compacted to a rather small area considering what maybe occurring later today. Lots more severe, but about the same type of setup. Except more tornadoes and wind for the ARKLATEX to add to the large hail woes. It could get unbelievably bad for Arkansas and northern Louisiana later on today. There is already severe weather in northern louisiana right now with a large hail threat ongoing.
