URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 95
STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK
710 PM CST SAT APR 5 2003

THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF

CENTRAL AND WESTERN OKLAHOMA

EFFECTIVE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY MORNING FROM 710 PM UNTIL
MIDNIGHT CST.

HAIL TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER...THUNDERSTORM WIND GUSTS TO 70
MPH...AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS ALONG AND 70 STATUTE MILES
NORTH AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM 45 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF CLINTON
OKLAHOMA TO 50 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF ARDMORE OKLAHOMA.

REMEMBER...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE
FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH AREA.
PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THREATENING
WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE
WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE
TORNADOES.

OTHER WATCH INFORMATION... CONTINUE...WW 93...WW 94...

DISCUSSION...STRONG WARM ADVECTION ACROSS OK WITH INCREASING
ELEVATED INSTABILITY THIS EVENING. THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED TO
INTENSIFY RAPIDLY ACROSS SWRN OK AND SPREAD NEWD. PRIMARY THREAT
WILL BE LARGE HAIL WITH POTENTIAL FOR SUPERCELLS IN SWRN OK FOR
ENHANCED SEVERE THREAT.
