"It was hell!"...TORNADO POSSIBLE IN METRO!

#1 Postby wx247 » Sat Apr 05, 2003 9:06 pm

This was a quote from a man going through the storms as they moved through Throckmorton County TX earlier.

Here is the very latest...

...TORNADO WARNING CONTINUES FOR PARKER AND TARRANT COUNTIES UNTIL
845 PM CST...

AT 750 PM CST...DOPPLER RADAR DETECTED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING A TORNADO BETWEEN KELLER AND SAGINAW...MOVING EAST AT
35 MPH.

TRAINED STORM SPOTTERS REPORTED DEBRIS IN THE AIR...IN THE NORTHWEST
PART OF SAGINAW. NWS EMPLOYEES REPORTED A WALL CLOUD WITH POWER
FLASHES JUST 2 MILES NORTHEAST OF THE FORT WORTH NWS OFFICE. DOWNED
POWER POLES HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED IN THE WEST PART OF SAGINAW.
LARGE HAIL HAS BROKEN WINDOWS IN NORTH FORT WORTH. THIS IS AN
EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS
STORM...TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
