Speed

Frances is picking up a little in forward speed from what I've been reading. What does this do to the predicted path? Does it put S. Florida back in the game? Would it put the GOM back in the game?

The GOM and South Fla were never "out of the game" to begin with..

If the storm keeps moving west.. it may make a direct impact on South Florida..

If it goes WNW it may impact Central Florida and then move into the GOM..

Just my 2 cents :wink:

I still think South Florida is in the game and was never out of the game.
Frances is embedded in strong easterlies and a strengthing ridge is
causing this current trend. The models have come a long way in the last
10 years, but the forecast beyond 72 hours is just too prone for large errors.
