That radar is so far from the storm. Even on the closest side, we are still probably seeing something several hundred meters off the ground, and thousands above the ground on the far side.

I think so... I also believe that Frances is about to upgrade itself to a Category 5 and have a double eyewall.......

Like the north-south shifts Frances' structure shows equal duality. If you remember she already had a wide-eye after having a tight-eye twice.

Frances' make-up is that of a deep storm that can't quite blow-out that depth to climb to a category 5 buzzsaw, but keeps trying because it is boosting so much.

I'm very worried about this kind of heavy grinder hitting the Gulf Stream and finding energy to boost the whole deep body - both eyewalls and everything...
