The NHC hasn't adjusted their track since noon yesterday. I just don't see a big N or NW turn bringing it to Central or North FL. Granted I'm not a met, nor do I play one on TV.
Would any of the pros here like to explain the reasoning that all of a sudden, this thing is going to change from its almost due west course it's held since Monday? I'm thinking that the wacky ol' LBAR model is looking more correct .. straight through Miami-to-GOM.

well first of all they have adjusted their track south since noon yesterday.....
secondly the beginning of the bend from west to wnw has already happened if you look at the history...this is just normal response as it tracks around the sw periphery of the ridge.
thirdly..the more pronounced turn which will happen at some point, the big question is when and where is in response to a low pressure trough digging into the central us that will weaken the ridge somewhat.
