At 6:50pm, The storms are still rolling through the GA Coastline and have another ½ to 1 hour left before the storms finally exit. Up to 4" of rainfall have occurred according to Doppler Radar Estimates ... Updated final totals will be available in a little bit.

This is the same batch of storms exiting the South Carolina coast responsible for up to 5" rainfalls in the Midlands of South Carolina, and 2"-4" rainfalls in lower SC ...

Looks like that train of thunderstorms will roll in here tomorrow! :o It will be interesting to see if flooding becomes a problem in north GA since we have a flood watch now. I think we will need to take the boat to work tomorrow!

Both the ETA and GFS QPF outputs indicate much of GA will be in heavy rainfalls at some point or another ...same thing for South Carolina...

North Carolina, well, the ETA spares Eastern North Carolina, while the GFS inundates them.

Indeed, a lot of rain along the Georgia coast.

If my area (several miles to the south of Savannah) sees more of these rainfall amounts, there may end up being more rain this month [in April] than last month [March]. Over five inches of rain fell at Leesburg, FL Municipal Airport. I am not sure the last time a March was as wet in central Florida.

The approximately two inches that is forecast with the upcoming thunderstorm activity can certainly help out in giving the Florida peninsula up to five inches of rain for this month. We shall see.

Hey HG - I sure did - and based on Doppler Radar Estimates the surrounding areas from Downtown Savannah may have picked up 2"-4" of rain yesterday in some torrential downpours associated with those thunderstorms yesterday.

After a lull in the activity, (the CAD wedge holds strong in Lower SC ATT), thunderstorms (elevated in nature likely) are returning into SC and already pounding Southeastern GA once again ... Round 2 has begun...ring the bell...

Just got reports from Savannah that 4" of rain has fallen there today and a flash flood warning is in effect for the city. Based on radar trends, another 1"-3" of rain is quite likely through tonight.

Based on doppler radar estimates, anywhere from 6" to 10" of rain in the Savannah Vicinity and with radar trends another 1"-3" is likely this evening and overnight Tuesday.
