size of eyewall?

my daughter just noticed that frances's eye appears to be as large as lake okeechobee on the sat loops. how big is lake okeechobee?

I'd say about 30 - 35 miles across.

Latest NHC discussion/advisory put it at 30nmi, which is about 34.5 miles across!!!

YEah man this isn't good. That is nearly 2 and 1/2 times the size of Charley's eye we know the damage that caused. And if that isn't enough for you the storm is nearly 2x the size of Charley meaning TS force winds I believe extend out to 175 miles from center.

It's more than 2 1/2 times the size of Charley's eye. I can't recall right now how big Charley's eye was--was it 5 miles wide or 9 miles wide?

Regardless...4 x 9 = 36. So it is nearly 4 times the size of Charley's eye--if his was 9 miles wide.
