Tropical depression forming!

#1 Postby Matthew5 » Thu Sep 02, 2004 12:39 am

A well defined LLCC has formed at 29.5/39.5 moving west. It has shown deep convection over the well defined LLCC over the last few hours. There is some shear but it looks like a tropical depression at this moment. http://www.cira.colostate.edu/ramm/rmsd ... PICAL.html

The 00Z GEM and GFS have a tropical system over the Yucatan at 240 hours...looks like we might have a Gulf threat in 2 weeks or so! Let's see how the models flip flop this baby.
