local met interview with Bahamas

#1 Postby iluvseashore » Fri Sep 03, 2004 8:18 pm

The Official from the Bahamas said they are reporting to the NHC that the back side of Frances seems to be the stronger side. Local Met thought that was strange so do I. Any thoughts?

Could it possibly be because the east side is stronger and Frances is coming from the east? In other words, they got the west side first... which is weaker.
I'm no expert, but I think that might be the reason.

Thanks seashore!

baygirl - you've got a point there! That would be where the stronger winds are.

Not that I've seen as of yet hurricane lover. It could be too early still since Frances is sitting and spinning. She hasn't really left the islands alone yet.
