Season Premiere Spoilers

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Sat Sep 04, 2004 9:44 am

I need to give myself a break from watching the news, especially the weather. (And, of course, I'm thankful that I can do that -- Floridians still have to ride this out for the next couple of days and then still deal with the aftermath. They don't get a break. :( ) So I'm gonna do something that I've wanted to do for the past couple of weeks but been too busy to sit and relax and do.

As usual, let me say -- THESE ARE SPOILERS! Don't read them if you don't want to know what's going to happen. Keep in mind that these aren't set in stone -- cast changes, current news events, writer's disputes, and other unforseeable issues sometimes cause things to end up on the cutting room floor.

Feel free to add your favorites, if you have access to spoilers.

ER - "One For The Road"
-Dr. Lockhart joins the cast :) and misses out on being there for a dying patient. (Psst...Lockhart is Abby.) She calls Howard "Herman." Tense moment as Abby treats a 14-year old and her "team" questions her procedure.
-Chen, Pratt, and Elgin are in a car accident and the car goes into a river. With a Maglite flashlight, Chen and Pratt keep Elgin's head above water as the vehicle fills up. Pratt tells Chen to get out first and he'll follow with Elgin. They make it to the ER - all three as patients. (There's a scene with Elizabeth checking on Chen in surgical ICU...but since Lizzie's been written out of the show, I'm not sure how this will play out this season.)
-Kerry is still fighting for custody of *shaking head at the name* Henry. Apparently, she's dressed to the nines and everyone compliments her. (I sure hope her hair is longer again.)
-Jerry takes a call for Luka and tells him it is from a 502 area code (I know that's KY) but Luka doesn't take the call. It's probably Sam, who is on her way to Florida (that might be edited)
-Susan...well, I don't know about Susan.
-Morris is still just as lazy and incompetent. He spends the first 15 mins of his shift chowing on chicken until Weaver busts him. Then he wants to "fish out" a foreign object from the body cavity of a *ahem* in police custody. Of course, there's the whole matter of a search warrant and/or patient's consent first.
-Kerry tells Neela that she doesn't work in the ER anymore. But Neels shows up just as cute as always -- and fresh out of the shower.
-A new charmer of an intern named Ray joins the cast.
-Carter asks Kem a very special question.

Third Watch - "More Monsters"
-Cruz, Davis, Monroe and Sully turn the tables on the gunmen and are heroes as they save lives of hospital staff and their fellow officers during the shootout at the hospital.
-One of the gunmen survives, as the officers use him to get information on Donald Mann's whereabouts.
-Kim puts her life on the line as well, and though not physically hurt she is emotionally damaged from the incident.
-Bosco is shot numerous times as he falls victim to the gunmen, his life hanging in the balance as doctors work feverishly to save him!!
(*sigh* With Fred somewhat out of the picture, I'm ready for Faith to be at Bosco's side. Of course, I'd prefer they do it post-divorce rather than have Faith engage in an extramarital relationship...her name is "Faith" afterall. But the chemistry between those two!!! Mmmmmm! )
-Yokas and Cruz go alone to confront Mann. Their confrontation results in Mann's mysterious murder on a rooftop.

JAG - "Hail & Farewell, Pt. 2"
- Mac goes to Trippler Morgue in Hawaii
- There will be flashbacks and a therapy session for Mac
- Don't expect to see a body. Mac isn't the one to identify the remains.
- Looks like Porter Webb will be in this episode. (Also in Hawaii.)
- Mac goes to Hawaii to get the remains of Webb and identify him, but when she gets there, his mother already confirmed his identity. The Navy didn’t have access to his file, so they contacted his mother.
- Alicia Montes, a professor at a Washington area law school will recruit Harm in the first episode to help a seaman she believes was wrongfully accused of murder 22 years ago.
- Mac tells Lt. Cmdr McCool that it's too late for her and Harm
- Alicia notices Mac's unease in a scene at Harm's apartment.
- A new JAG, nicknamed "Biff," joins the cast. (I'm going to miss Adm. Chegwidden...he was cool!)
- Hailee Hirsch (previously known to ER fans as Mark's daughter Rachel) will return briefly as Mattie.

I'd love to find spoilers for L&O:SVU and CSI, but those shows primarily go case-by-case, episode-by-episode with very little, if any, insight into the characters personal lives.

Survivor starts September 16th and is 2 hours long.

:slime:

The promotions say there is a huge twist in the first 10 minutes that will shock you. I hope it's not lame. :)

i heard it was a men vs women thing.

cant imagine anything quite as vulgar as cat fights (and you can count on there being more than a few), except for say, women-in-prison movies

Thanks for reminding me.... thank goodness, I don't have my internship on Thursday nights... My boss (chief met) is glued to survivor... he has it written on the monthly calendar (Sept 16th... Survivor Starts) the other meteorologist does not like survivor so he answered ("one of those shows again") and apparently in the words of my boss "the best show ever!"

I guess I'll have to watch survivor this season that way we can discuss something else along with forecasting and graphics. I saw the first 2 season of Survivor (Borneo and Australia)

As for ER... that's my show! I can not wait for Sept 23rd!!! CSI: Miami is the other show that I am glued too.... I have been catching the promos every so often (don't watch TV that much) looks like an awesome season premiere. :D

Question - besides Joey starting this Thursday, Sept. 9th, do any other shows start THIS WEEK? Seems so early but it's worth askiing.

Shawn do you have a good link for ALL shows, according to the night they're aired and the date they premiere? Thanks.

The CBS Monday night sitcom lineup starts tonight, September 20:

All times are EST:

8:00 - Still Standing

8:30 - Listen Up (Jason Alexander's new show)

9:00 - Everybody Loves Raymond

9:30 - Two and a Half Men

Of all 4, Two and a Half Men is clearly my favorite. A standout show from last season. If you're looking for a new sitcom to watch this season, one that will make you laugh, tune in. The other three I can take or leave (has a Seinfeld alum ever had a successful show?). ELR is over-rated IMHO. But it's their last season, so I'll watch. SS is a funny, little show but not quite in the must-see category. Two and a Half Men was the sleeper hit from last year. Never really liked Charlie Sheen much until I saw this show. It's one of the shows this season I don't want to miss each week.

You can check out the spoiler...but I won't give it a way for those who want to remain in suspense.

We were not able to watch Third Watch because WPMI is based in Pensacola and I assume their towers are down. :(

WPMI is in Mobile and yes, their towers are down, or so says their website.

Oh, dang! You missed one heck of an intense episode, Linda! I was on the edge of my seat, cheering everyone on. And then the end!!! Hooo boy!

I'll have to recap it for you later tonight.
