Man...I have seen a lot of posts today wondering about Ivan and any possible South Florida strike. Guys and gals it is way too early to speculate on that...let's see what it does in the ERN Caribbean first.
Statistically speaking the chances of Ivan affecting South Florida are low...but certainly not impossible. Anyway...just don't worry about Ivan...you have enough to worry about today as it is.
Good luck down there.

Thanks for wishing good luck for us down here, and about Iván, the problems is that after Bonnie, Charley, and now Frances, everytime a models shows a possible Florida impact, everyone gets scare. But let see what happens, what it sure looks to be a hurricane for the Lesser and Greater Antilles.

Yet, just because we've been hit twice, doesn't make the probability of Ivan hitting us any less.
I can't name the exact years, but I believe there have been years when a hurricane hits an area, then another one follows it in a week or so, taking a similar path. I believe it happened to S. FL sometime in the 1920s or 1930s?
