not to beast a dead hore (see Jason the Surfer) but http://www.cbs4.com Bryan Norcross just reported this as well. This station seems to have the best streaming coverage, plus the best forecaster.

says the GOM ridge is moving west.
That would explain the westward jog, and that jog, may have been enough for Frances to get a sip of warm Gulfstream.
If the ridge moves fast enough, Frances won't be able to sit at the Gulfstream Tiki Bar for long, and we'll get this over with!

not sure if its still drifting w... probably so... but the leading edge of the west eye wall is just about to come on land and pummel S FL.... boy, this is going to be such a long event for these people.. scary part is the worst will probably be on the back side of system.... ouch
