With such a large eye, I suspect Frances....

will not weaken too fast over the Florida peninsula, as the entire peninsula is only about 150 miles across. That being said, the entire eye will only be over land for a short period of time, while a majority of the eye will be over water at some point. Either the Atlantic side, or the GOM side.

When she enters the GOM, I oculd see her redeveloping quite fast as the waters are very, very warm.

Right now the NHC has her as being a TS once in the GOM...let's pray and hope she stays below hurricane status by then.

possible, although this cane is moving much slower, which would have more time to die down. Just depends what angle frances takes to traverse state and get out over the water

unless she speeds up, shes going to die off rapidly, shortly after landfall
