Weather Obs. Various FL cities

#1 Postby KBBOCA » Sat Sep 04, 2004 7:51 pm

Thought it might be interesting to look at the 48 hour reported observations from various FL east coast cities. Links for a number of cities from Melbourne to Miami are below. Unfortunately, a lot of the municipal airports (like Stuart, Vero Beach, Boca Raton) are no longer reporting. I assume they shut down their comms. (or have been damaged)

Melbourne reported up until 5 pm or so today
PBI, FLL & MIA are all still reporting current data hourly. West Palm Beach (PBI) shows the most impressive wind/pressure data, but still nothing above hurricane force.

Boca Raton (no data since 12:53 Sept. 3)

Oops, I forgot Fort Pierce in the above list. Here it is:

Unfortunately the last obs. for Fort Pierce is 9:53 this morning. This is a shame as it looks like landfall (the center of the eye) may be very close to Fort Pierce. Oh well.

Also, If you get the 'weatherbug', you can enter different zip codes and get all kinds of realtime data from different cities.
