Scott_inVA's Ark Building Party

#1 Postby Scott_inVA » Sun Sep 05, 2004 7:26 am

Did not and do not buy TPC's idea remnants go up to IL/IN but last time I veered from their track I was wrong. Doubt I am this time and if the growing consensus of models and TPC's gradual eastward inland adjustments continue, y'all invited to my ark building party.

Check the model map and come on up. FWIW, inlanders along the mountain ranges are *far* more worried with GOM storms than Carolina landfalls.

Current FFG along the Alleghanies in WV is ~ 2.5"-3.25" in 6 hours. Western Va is dry so guidance is somewhat higher but training precip along the ridges ends up here and the "inland runner" track is our equivalent to FL's hurricane watch.

Interesting couple of days ahead...then Ivan probably gets chopped by The Caribbean Blade and he gets interesting.
