Steve Lyons just said nothing

#1 Postby jes » Sun Sep 05, 2004 6:54 pm

He is obviously tired of Francis and much more interested in Ivan. He didn't say much at all about the projected path of Francis -- may hold close to the coast of Florida or go a bit into the gulf. Alabama and Georgia are due much rain. I am disappointed in his forecast.

yeah, i kinda am looking to ivan now too. Now that Frances is a weakening system, not much to watch. But ivan will soon steal the show.

I think he just doesn't want to let their guard down in Florida after Frances. Alot has already been said about Frances. But again Ivan is still more than 2000 miles away.

I know - I agree with you. The only problem is things seem to change so quickly and I'm in Mobile so its not completely over for me yet.

I think right now the only people still interested in Frances are those still affected by her.Everyone else is looking to the monster barrelling out toward the Islands .

I agree with Lyons. Ivan is much more interesting at the moment. I can't blame him.

Frances is more of a severe weather event now, more of a Greg Forbes or Jon Neese area than the tropics. Any tropical expert would be fascinated by the rapid deepening of Ivan.

Honestly, since Frances is headed right at my family, and until I know what it won't wipe us out, it isn't old to me. Well it IS, but I can't let my guard down just yet.

I could give a rat about Ivan until I can stop worrying about this wench on my front porch.

Sorry for the rant.

I must confess it's satisfying that Ivan is one full degree more W with every 3 hour update...whatever he does it'll hopefully be FAST!

JMGNole,

Don't think Frances will wipe out your family; just keep an eye out for tornadoes.

Peace and safety to y'all anyways!

Thanks, am doing so.

I'm keeping an eye on feederbands. Got the generator, the UPS for the PC, rations, Ben and jerry's, and plenty of cold beer. If we go, i'll be full and oblivious.

Not really, but I am beginning to relax a bit.
