Subjects to avoid -- just for fun

#1 Postby KeyLargoDave » Mon Sep 06, 2004 4:25 pm

Thank you, thank you, Storm2K and all on board -- really helped me for the last 10 days. Thanks to those who posted practical tips about pets, hotels, shutters, supplies, and kept us informed on conditions during the storm(s).

I do hope that people who post will try just a wee bit harder to not use incomplete subject lines. For pure comic relief, here's my take on some of the typical offenders...and what the messages really say when you bother to read them:

It's really important to know...
...that my cat spit up massive hairballs when the pressure dropped to 28.88. Check your barometer!

OH MY GOD...
...I wish I had done the laundry yesterday. I forgot the washer is electric.

It's definitely going to hit...
...somewhere between 15-50 N and 70-120 W.

What the models say...
...is really hard to figure out; they're diverging.

TWC just reported...
...that the pollen count in Michigan is way up!

I need to know....
...whether masking tape or duct tape is better to use on my windows?

POLL...
...Are you tired of polls yet?

Southeast Florida is getting hit....
....by a lot of mosquitoes this year.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT...
...my weather cam will be offline 'cause I'm upgrading to AOL 10.0.

Coming here...
....Oh....oh...oh...oh...oh, yes! I think the storm's gonna hit my house!

Do you know?...
...the way to San Jose?

New NHC Forecast track....
....isn't posted yet. Why not?

Melbourne...
....is in Australia, isn't it? What hurricane are these people talking about?

WARNING -- Ivan Landfall forecast #1 1800 UTC
....will be delayed until 2200 UTC. My mom took away the cable modem.

Can you believe it?...
...It's September, there's no El Nino, SSTs are really high, and these storms just seem to keep firing up out in the ocean? What gives?

AND THE ONE I really don't want to see:

Heading for the Keys...
...Will the Caribbean Club still be standing after (fill in storm name here)?

Stay safe everyone,
Dave

Models Now Converging....

...and I'd say this swimsuit issue is the best yet.
