ivan vs hazel

#1 Postby BUD » Wed Sep 08, 2004 6:07 pm

Does anyone remember Hurricane Hazel that I think hit SC in the 50s? Is it possible based on any models Ivan could make a sudden turn to the north and SC or even NC. From what I understand Hazel hit Ocean Drive in NMB SC instead going to FLA. or is to early to tell?

I have seen some people make posts saying that Ivan has to be north of like 15 degrees by 70 degrees for (fill in scenario) to happen. Hurricane Hazel didnt reach 15 degrees until 75 degrees....so it is not impossible for something amazing to happen even that far west and that low...

That path needs to be extended...Hazel actually killed a lot of people in Toronto. That was an evil storm to cause deaths hundreds of miles from the ocean !
