The curfew announcement was during a press conference on local radio from the sheriff's department and Emergency Management Center in Lecanto.
No one will be allowed on the streets after the 8 p.m. curfew, which will be initiated the day (24 hrs.) before Ivan is sceduled to arrive in the vicinity. Right now, the NHC track has Ivan on our doorstep.
Also. Gov. Jeb will do a state/national press conference at 4 p.m., I heard on TV Fox about an hour ago. No indication of specifics.

alicia, the other day I was on the Palm Beach county emergency website.
Their link to the "hurricane preparedness guide' was broken... YIKES!
From what I can tell from afar, Jeb and the emergency officials are doing a very good job in extremely difficult circumstances on the ground. But a lot of the FL Emergency websites need SERIOUS help!
