Ivan is not going to push north through the high, that is now ridging to the north of his current location. Get over it.

He will end up over the western tip of Cuba, before any northward movement takes place.

Here's the problem. Your assumptions regarding Ivan's direction would seem to be predicated upon a permanence, or perhaps even longevity, of steering weather systems that may or may not be there in the next 24 hrs.

I noticed a definite wobble north around the southwest perimeter of Jamaica. It almost looks like a hook move. Never say never.
