Ivan similar to Frederic?

#1 Postby Portastorm » Wed Sep 15, 2004 10:17 am

Gang, I just traded e-mails with a cousin in Mobile. She and her family have decided to "ride out" Ivan. House is all boarded up. They have supplies. They live inland and not on the beach.

She says locals there are thinking Cat-3 like Frederic (1979?) was. Will Ivan be similar to Frederic in terms of affects on Mobile? Appreciate any insight.

As far as strength and track, yes, but this is a larger system and the event will be more prolonged.
