State of emergency in Allegheny County
Well, Ivan has come north. I've never seen such flooding in this area. The rains came to already saturated ground. On my way home from work I saw manhole cover blowing and spewing water fountains of 5 feet. On the Pa. Turnpike I dodged landslides in front and in back of my Subaru. The Turnpike is now closed in that area. A small town just south of me has a mandatory evacuation. Major flooding in this area has many, many roads closed and many people stranded. It came soooo fast and so strong we had no idea that this much damage could be done. We have never seen anything like this in this area. Prayers needed.

Thoughts and prayers going out to all of you up there. I didn't realize Ivan had reached PA yet although I've been following the tornados in the DC area (also have family there).
Stephanie, glad to hear your area is faring well as I have most of my family in the Trenton/Princeton area. I've been trying to reach my aunt but she's been out so it can't be too bad there yet either.

We ended up with around 7" in east central Ohio. It just stopped but the waters are still rising. Many towns completely shut off. All roads are closed. State of Emergency issued in many counties. I will list them all later. Will be a long cleanup. We just got cleaned up from Frances. They said this last 10 days we've recieved 1/4 of our annual rainfall. Thats insane!!!
