Is that Ivan off NE/E Central FL?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Have you seen any of the ongoing discussion about Ivan moving southwestward toward Florida? :)

Yes, but I also thought I recalled some saying that there were no remnants of Ivan. Just wanted to know if what I'm seeing on radar is in fact Ivan.

It would not be "Ivan" it would be Matthew if a new low where to form off the East coast. Why because Ivan has became cold core in is moving with the trough(Which will make Karl the fish move out to sea). This is back wash that may or may not form a surface low over the next few days. What the computer models do with this piece of energy is move it south then southwest. Into the Gulf of Mexico. But I will have to see this to believe it...

They are expecting the renmants of Ivan toget into the Gulf Of Mexico. Our local mets did not say anything about it. I heard about it from the National Weather Service forecast discussion and The Weather Channel. They also talked about a cold front at the end of the week that would make it all the way into the Gulf Of Mexico.

Current conditions here (directly under this storm) are cloudy with wonderful refreshing SW sea breezes around 15 mph. We've had some light showers on and off since late afternoon, but just a typical day mostly.

With no big threat on the horizon, we're rejoicing in weather that's familiar again.
