So has this ever happened before?

After TS Ivan makes landfall, we'll have had the same tropical cyclone make landfall both east and west of New Orleans. Has anything like this ever happened before?

I predicted Ivan would turn WEST right before landfall..
He's just taking his own sweet time doing it :P
