Any news..

Any news on what is happening with Ivan? Is he still around? Is he losing steam? Is he just sitting there and trying to fight the shear? Anyone???

I'm wondering myself. They said heavy rain around rush hour, and then they moved the track and now there is no rain.

What's going on?

I have things I need to take care of, and I don't know what to do.

Looks like the steering currents have possibly collapesed with Ivan. He ain't movin at no 15 MPH anymore. Also Ivan looks better now than this morning. The convection seems to be re-firing around the center this time.

no convection.....completely exposed center....status quo......movement may have slowed at least temporarily.

definitely not strengthening or organizing at this time.

I definitely see convection on the visible sat. loops and Lake Charles Radar.... motion has slowed way down... makes one wonder what is happening.

Convection is clearly rapping around the center based off the Lake Charles radar.

It doesn't take too much with this much instability to fire up convection. Wait about an hour and look at it again. If the convection weakens again then it was nothing...if it continues to do what it is doing right now...then it was something. Fluctuations in strength are possible before landfall.
