Hmmm. What's going on in mid-GOM......

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

It's the next incarnation of Ivan, based on their recent precedent, this would also be called Ivan. LOL

If it is still there tomorrow, we'll have to keep an "eye" on it!!!

That is 94L a new disturbance on NRL. I KNOW I KNOW they gave IVAN II the name 94L , BUT since the system they named 94L was determinded to be IVAN it was infact 90L or the invest out in the ATLANTIC that once became IVAN. They decided that 94L could be used again because that was not a seperate disturbance but the remants of IVAN(90L) this new system is now 94L on NRL so the next one will be 95L

I remember Frances in 1998, and she kept sucking up moisture from the Yucatan and had some pretty fat feeder blobs /got stuck under 'em

As I recall from a discussion a few days ago, Joe Bastardi did mention something about some more action in the GOM seperate from Ivan II. Could this be Ivan the III? Maybe Joe B was on to something.
