Announcments, Stickys & Polls....

Could we not have so many for a while. I know the Storm 2K computers are all running great, but the top 1/3 of the first page is full. I can see 2 or 3 things up there, but in the last few days it's been a bit much.

I just looked, we have some sort of "news letter", a survival poll, a world wide tropical update, something called "2nd call central Fl." "Pet friendly hotels" that's been there for weeks. I just think the top of the page should be for needed information.

I almost mentioned this in the last several days with the understanding that it's one of the negative factors those that "are against" Storm2K strongly dislike.

I believe that announcments and stickys are forgotten about during these busy times, such as the server problems and the server upgrade(s).

Polls shouldn't be a problem at all... they typically aren't pinned to the top of the forum.

At this time the messages stuck at the top are:
1 down time (I can see that needs to be there)
2 Donations, same thing
3 News Letter. that could wait.
4 Survival poll. need I say more
5 World wide tropical update, that should stand on it's own.
6 2nd... call Central Fl. needless
7 Pet friendly hotels, (again after 3 weeks)
8 Donations to Red Cross and FEMA. FEMA is part of the us gov. shouldnet be listed.
9 Baromometer Bob's show I can see that being listed...
10 OK... time for a Storm2K con. forcast. (not going to step on Mike's toes) *grin*
