That wind report is STILL from 2 vort messages ago...from the 850 flight level. They haven't found higher winds yet because they are at 700 mb now. According to the last supplement. vort. Jeanne is still a Cat 2.

So basically on its present track, landfall in south/central Palm Beach County and Broward would get the strongest winds being the southern eyewall is strongest with this storm.

The wind report says it is from 0233Z, which is a reference to the report from 2 vort messages ago. They don't update the wind portion every time unless they find something higher.

As a side note, Jeanne has traveled 2 min north and 18 min west in about 1.5 hours.

It'd be fun to start a bar called "The Eyewall". "Last call! The Eyewall is closing!"
