Steve Lyons=Lisa may be a US problem down the road

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Sep 25, 2004 7:56 am

I can't believe about Lisa going to the US as it is a fish spinner now but Dr Lyons said in the tropical update that watch for Lisa down the road but didn't said nothing more.

What I know is that a big ridge the same ridge that is keeping Jeanne from moving north will hook Lisa to the west.

the ridge should be re-enforced. with this being the case, nothing short of divine intervention can spare the EC, assuming the global model ridge solution verifies

The ridge controlling Jeanne right now will weaken eventually and a new one should form further south. If Lisa misses the cut north, she could come west underneat this at a fairly low latitude, which would bring her into the Caribbean at some point. We have seen some major shifts in the globals w/ her, and if they continue today Lisa will become a threat to land eventually.

If the global model tracks verify and things continue that way...he may be right.

Le sigh.
