Scogor back home (kind of) safe and sound

#1 Postby scogor » Sun Sep 26, 2004 10:39 pm

We were able to catch a flight from Atlanta to Fort Myers and rented a car that we dropped off at the Sarasota airport (although SRQ was closed today). Our younger daughter handled storm preparations like a trooper (we've had enough practice this season!!) and our home is fine but we are without power and thus spending what we hope is just one night with other powerless Sarasotans at a nearby hotel. Posting this from the lobby of the hotel and now going upstairs to collapse. Also to count our blessings as loss of power (the first instance during the recent hurricane onslaught) is getting off easy as our drive up I-75 (with Charlotte County still showing much evidence of Charley's devastation) earlier today reminded us!!
Hope everyone on the board is okay and I look forward to getting back to the board asap!!

Shana Tova to my fellow Jewish storm buddies!!

Glad you are safe and that your daughter made it through okay.
