3:00 PM EDT Storm2k Tropical Update,Sept 28

#1 Postby cycloneye » Tue Sep 28, 2004 1:58 pm

After a very active period in the past 6 weeks the Atlantic is more quiet this afternoon with only Tropical Storm Lisa and the remanants of Jeanne.Still tropical storm Lisa is in the central atlantic but it is a no threat storm to any landmasses maybe the exception may be the Azores Islands in the comming days. The other system that still is causing some problems is the remanants of Jeanne which are located in Virginia and spreading into Pennysilvania and New York with heavy rains and flash flooding is occuring in various places in that area.

Elsewhere in the atlantic:

A couple of tropical waves are in the tropical atlantic but none have ideal conditions to develop at this time.

In the caribbean a TUTT trough is dominating and no development is expected at this time although some cloudiness and showers are seen in the SW caribbean however the divergent flow in the area is causing that convection to flare up but no tropical development at this time is expected.

Tropical Storm formation is not expected thru wednesday.
