Amazing!!!!

I cant believe that I have experienced 3 diffrent Tropical Systems here 40 miles ENE of Atlanta, GA. And I have gotten almost 17" of rain from all 3 of the systems. The main system for me was Ivan where I picked up almost 9" of rain. Now lets see if any more systems target this area. My hope is that they will not.

WOW. Like I said absolutley amazing. Hopefully yall down in Florida will get a long reprieve.

We were within 14 miles of the category 4 eyewall of Charley on the NE quadrant side. I think they said there was 4-6 inches from the fast-moving storm. Some of that was blown salt spray from the Gulf.


Frances passed about 80-90 miles north of us. The dry air in the Gulf that weakened her kept us dry. I think we only got an inch or two which is nothing for south Florida in summer.


Ivan was 300 miles west and delivered little rain. Maybe an inch in associated rains.


Jeanne also coursed 80-90 miles from us leaving us again on the weak west side. I found out we only got 1 inch.

I know what you mean, Wnghs. I'm at the Cherokee/Cobb line and I've gotten a ton of rain and downed trees. Never before have I had so many tropical systems come through. The only ones I can remember are Opal in 1995 and before that Tropical Depression Jerry stalled over us for 3 days in 1995, but he doesn't really count.

We usually get around 53" of rain a year in NE Florida.

We are about 10-12" above that already, still 3 months to go.

This year has been a true soaker.
