I knew things were bad BUT......

I know business in Pinetop Lakeside is BAD at the moment BUT.......I had NO IDEA that things were THIS bad. With the type of business we own, the downturn in the local economy has no effect on us what so ever, we work off federal and state grants, written by us but the rest of the community is suffering BIG TIME. We try to support the local business' as much as we can but there are simply not enough merchants in Pinetop that carries the items we need and use, so we have to resort going to Flagstaff, Tucson, Albq New Mexico for our needs.

That's so sad Dennis! I guess the businesses will end up "specializing" in certain stock that they know will sell. I hope a turn around begins soon!

One thing the article forgot to bring up is the fact that Show Low is VERY aggresive in their tactics of bringing in new business', in fact.....the hicks, that's us, we are FINALLY getting a "HOME DEPOT!" WAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOO! No more driving to Flagstaff. BUT.....the Home Depot is going into Show Low, Pinetop FIGHTS commercial business' tooth and nail, hell no wonder why the town is suffering and the City Of Show Low is booming!
