2:00 PM EDT Storm2k Tropical Update,Sept 30

#1 Postby cycloneye » Thu Sep 30, 2004 1:03 pm

Tropical storm Lisa is in it's last hours as a tropical cyclone as it is already at cooler waters and it will turn extratropical in the next couple of days.

Elsewhere in the atlantic:

A tropical wave located around 500 miles east of the Windward islands is moving west between 10-15 mph.It has an anticyclone above it and that is a favorable factor for the system and that is why it has flared up today however it lacks organization at this time but the storm2k forecast team will watch it.

A tropical wave interacting with an upper trough-low is located in the central caribbean moving slowly west.Conditions are unfavorable at this time but they may be more favorable in the next couple of days as the trough retogrades west and a ridge builds and also the storm2k forecast team will watch it.

Tropical storm formation is not expected thru friday.
