AUSTIN -- Two Central Texas high school students have been arrested and accused of planning to re-create the 1999 shooting at Columbine High School in Colorado.
Cedar Park police have charged the 15- and 16-year-old boys with making terroristic threats, a third degree felony.
Their names aren't being released because of their ages.
Cedar Park Police Captain Jeff Hayes says the boys planned to carry out the shooting during a school pep rally.
He tells the Austin American-Statesman that they had even discussed particular students they planned to target.
He says they were waiting for a cold front so they could wear long trench coats to conceal their weapons.
Police discovered the plan on September 28th and arrested the boys Friday.
