New Grandson

I've been away for awhile. I went to Roanoke to help my daughter with the expectant baby's room and a great baby shower. No sooner did I get home than the phone rang and my daughter was in labor!!!!!!!!!!! After driving very, very fast back down to Roanoke (6 hours), I made it for the delivery of my new Grandson - John Harrison McDaniel. (Little Jack)

He was 8lbs 4oz and was THREE weeks early. He's, as you might have guessed, the MOST beautiful little boy. Needless to say, Grandma is very, very proud. Mommy, Daddy and little sister Madison are doing fine!!!!!!!!!!!!

Terrific News Karan! Had to double-check that new grandson's name...for a brief moment thought it was Jack Daniels... I'll drink to that!!!

What a wonderful gift our grandkids are. In a couple of months we have a six hour drive once that phone rings too!

Poppysky, I owe you an email!!!! I hope you don't have to break the speed limits that I broke!!!! You definitely know exactly how I feel. That little finger has me wrapped around it already.

Shannon, Marshall and Joshua, it's the greatest thrill in the world!!!!!!!! My Son-in-Law even let me cut the cord!!! He couldn't have given me a better compliment.

I know sorta how you feel (very excited!!). I've gained both a precious niece and nephew in the past few months...Becky had a baby girl, and Maria a bouncing baby boy :)
