TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
400 AM HST SAT OCT 9 2004

FOR THE CENTRAL NORTH PACIFIC...BETWEEN 140W AND 180

A TROPICAL DISTURBANCE ABOUT 800 MILES SOUTH OF HONOLULU HAWAII...
NEAR 10N 160W...CONTINUES TO MOVE WEST AT 10 TO 15 MPH.
THUNDERSTORMS HAVE INCREASED IN COVERAGE OVER THE PAST COUPLE OF
HOURS...AND SLOW DEVELOPMENT OF THIS DISTURBANCE IS POSSIBLE OVER
THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

A TROPICAL DISTURBANCE NEAR 18N 146W...ABOUT 600 MILES EAST-
SOUTHEAST OF HILO HAWAII...IS MOVING WEST BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MPH.
DESPITE AN INCREASE IN THUNDERSTORM COVERAGE OVERNIGHT...UPPER-LEVEL
WINDS ARE UNFAVORABLE FOR THIS DISTURBANCE TO DEVELOP INTO A
TROPICAL CYCLONE.

ELSEWHERE...NO TROPICAL CYCLONES ARE EXPECTED THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING.
