yep, yep, yep for me.
Congrats on taking a SkyWARN class. Suggest you bookmark this link and maybe print off some material in the "off-season"... very helpful when getting started:

Good luck.

I have a primitive weather station - an outdoor
thermometer and a rain gauge! No weather
website, but, I'm a certified Skywarn spotter.
And, don't hesitate to take another class for fun,
even though you're already certified. You'll find
facts that you might have missed, in the previous
class!

Been a SKYWARN spotter for years, have my station, and post my daily temperature and rainfall stats on my homepage. In addition, I also have annual and monthly summaries of my data which goes back 17 years and post my own forecasts (being a retired Met). Also I occasionally post special topics of my own chiefly storm reports and summaries of my monsoon outlooks there as well.

My Wife bought me (us) a weather station in '03 for my b'day. Love playing with it and trying to learn this 'html' thing along the way to post to our website. http://www.casabenbrook.net/weather.htm
Cheers,

Currently have several weather related webpages online, mostly dealing with past U.S. hurricanes.
In regards to home weather stations....I have a Davis Weather Wizard III (since 2001); a Davis Vantage Pro (since last February); also have a new Inspeed Vortex anemometer for my chase vehicle.
My dad labeled me a weather nut when I was 17....I wonder why?
LOL. My parents labeled me that when I was 8 hehe. I still am

Hi there...SKYWARN is a program that has stayed with NWS through many ups and downs. I have been a spotter for 37 years! Taught SKYWARN classes back in the early 1980's. Still call in storm reports to NWS Phoenix occassionally as needed here. Had a full blown weather station from 1974 through 1997, but now just have a rain gauge, handful of thermometers and barometers, and record only precip in my backyard! Would love to put an anemometer back up but the HOA would surely not approve!
In the late 1990's I was invited to review a report on National Weather Service modernization, and part of that had to do with standards for observers. Here's the link...
