"Desperate Housewives"

Come on...I know you're out there. Someone else besides me is watching this, right? After all, it beat out the Yankees/Red Sox game last night in the ratings.

At first, I thought it was going to be a network version of "Sex & The City." That's what the promos made it seem like. Actually, now, it's seems more like S&TC meets "Twin Peaks." Have I missed it...or have we managed to not talk about this one yet?

I LOVE IT! I didn't think it would be as funny as it is - but this is now a Sunday night must see!

Shawn - I thought we did discuss it, so let me go look around. I've watched it off and on. Let me just say, first of all - it is not a soap! Far from it. Critics love this show and it was rated #2 a week ago. I hear men are watching too, not just women.

My favorite is the harried wife with 4 kids. Next is Teri Hatcher's character.

The perfect one - ugh. I'm expecting to see her whip off a wig at any moment, revealing a Stepford Wives/Melrose Place scar!

I watch it. lol. I know Cajunmama watches it too. Last night was funny. Especially when Susan was locked out of her house in the nude and fell in the bushes. Guess who walked up? lol.

Sorry Shawn, I don't think we've discussed DH yet! I was thinking of the Wife Swap thread I guess. If you read TV Guide daily like I do, online that is, they love DH and usually have lots of press about it. So watch for weekly and even bi-weekly mentions of it. It's ABC's first run away hit in over 10 years!

I have to say I am surprised at how well Marcia Cross is playing this part! She was such a psycho on Melrose...

I thought they said they would re-play last nights episode this Saturday. Did I hear wrong?

Ahhhh but sunny - she's quite possibly a psycho simmering beneath the surface on DH! You're right, MC is perfect for this role. Each week you do hope her husband can get thru to her. Otherwise she's doomed. Watching her constantly fussing with the house makes me want to mess it up!

Mary

PS - ABC reaired the pilot the following Saturday. I'm not sure if they'll continue doing this or not. CBC airs Survivor twice a week, so it's possible.

Last night's DH episode does reair this coming Saturday, Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. (EST). If ABC continues doing this, you could watch 2 DH episodes each weekend!

I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm usually watching HGTV or the Food Network, History or Biography ------------- I watched the first show and now I'm hooked. Boston Legal isn't bad either.

It's a must see show for me on Sunday nights! My daughter and I watch it together! And following DH is Boston Legal. Love that show too!

I've been watching the show and enjoy it as well. I'm quite suprised by this. The show was portrayed differently in the previews than how it really is. Boston Legal on the other hand, is not one of my faves. I've tried watching, but I miss The Practice too much.
