SURF IS UP!!!

#1 Postby sponger » Mon Oct 25, 2004 12:24 pm

The Gale off Bermuda is bringing in a nice long period ground swell to most of the SE Coast. Buoy reading off St Augustine Peaked last night at 9 ft 15 second period. May not be hurricane related but it is exciting none the less!!! Saturday was 6-8 foot slabs rolling in at Mayport Jetty.

Last night glassed off nicely with 1 foot overhead mackers exploding into the inside. Buoys are dropping in NE FL but holding at 7-8 feet off of the Cape. Swell should fade slowly through out the week.
