cycloneye: tengo una pregunta!

We are coming to Isla Verde, Puerto Rico in two weeks!! A friend was just there from November 11-15 and said it rained almost the whole time. So I went over to the San Juan weather site and read about the very high surf (10-18 foot waves!!) and showery conditions. It this type of weather typical this time of year? I thought it was more the dry season? Anyway hopefully we will have better luck than they did.

November is one of the most wettest months here as the transition from the summerlike pattern changes to the midlatitud shortwave troughs and fronts that start to dip into the greater antilles and some of them become stationary over the island dumping plenty of rain and last year at this time we had a big flooding event almost the same as this year when a frontal trough combined with an elongated low pressure trough. But I hope that by the time you guys arrive here there is the normal pleasant sunny skies :sun: with little rain and the swells go down although normally we see high swells at this time of the year as those big gale centers in the north atlantic cause the high seas here.Have a great time here and I know that all of you will enjoy it all in the paradise of the caribbean. :)
