Jeanne Report??

#1 Postby Blown Away » Thu Nov 18, 2004 12:51 pm

There is no sustained wind/ highest wind gust information south of Jensen Beach to West Palm Beach, about 35 miles of coast. The storm's landfall was at Jensen Beach, which is <1 mile north of Stuart. The only info at Jensen was a unofficial gust of 91kt. That 35 miles covers Stuart, Hobe Sound, Jupiter (Jupiter Inlet is a breakpoint), Riviera Beach, etc. I know these cities are not major metropolitan centers, but the Charley report has sustained winds/ gust info for some of those cities mentioned. The Charley info/ experience for SE coast was minor, maybe a gust to 30-40kt.
