MCMULLEN REMEMBERED ON WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN 17TH: Jessica McMullen's dad Tim knew a way he could memorialize his daughter. A new basketball tournament that will now be held yearly in her honor.
The "J Mac Showdown" will take place today starting at 5:30pm at St Cloud High School. It features St Cloud and has county rival Gateway also playing along with 2 other teams.
St Cloud HS also has decided to award scholarships in J Mac's honor beginning this season. A scholarship will go to the best SCHS player and the best Central Florida player both in Jessica McMullen's namesake.
The Bulldogs emotional 1st regular season game is tomorrow against 2nd year school Freedom. The Patriots have never faced St Cloud.
Jessica McMullen would have turned 17 tomorrow.
