Should I?

#1 Postby alicia-w » Thu Dec 16, 2004 10:53 am

Yesterday, I had an extremely graceful moment walking to my truck after work. I tripped on a tree root, and WHAM landed on my face. That wouldnt have been so bad; I can easily laugh at myself and dust the knees off. But I was carrying my steel coffe cup under one arm and one of the large holiday tins for goodies in front of me. I landed on those and my chest hurts like a ?@$?&*#$. It knocked the wind outta me pretty good. Fortunately no one saw me do that. Should I get an x-ray?

OOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW..

You should have your chest checked. I had a similar kind of fall (I fell on my side when I was pregnant) I had cracked my ribs.. It really hurts when you breath or cough..... whatever you do DONT sneeze!!!!!

Hope you feel better soon.

True! Unfortunate for me - I always seem to have an audience when I do things like that!

Bronnie,

So very happy you came through in fine shape with that precious angel of a baby girl!! :D

In case others who have since come aboard and don't know about her accident...Bronnie had a run-in with her dishwasher machine!

I would definitely get it checked out. Hopefully it is just a bone bruise, but if you have cracked ribs, etc. they may be able to do something to ease the pain.

Alicia, I'd definitely get it checked out....just to make sure there was nothing broken (i.e.- a cracked rib that could cause internal bleeding).

I hope you feel better very soon :)

You should make sure that you didn't break a rib. Good luck!

OUCH for both of you! Holy jumping! Who's next.

I can't comment on the underwire thing, but I'll take J's word for it.

OMG Petal  Hope your OK! "OUCH!" And here I thought "I" was the only who did stuff like this! Seems to be a epidemic of sorts here!

Alicia, by ALL means, YES....like it's been said, it depends on the pain your in, although, when I fell, I didn't realize this UNTIL I went to the doctor for a check up, that I had broke/chipped my collar bone too...the ER doctor MISSED that!

Geeesh ladies, TAKE CARE!
