I am interested in the "streamers" that come off the great lakes. After a cold front, we often get clouds that are like trains, just coming in a straight line with clear blue sky in between. I captured a snow streamer on TWC radar extending from the middle of lake Erie, all the way to south-east of Pittsburgh. And its just a thin streak. Way Cool.
Here's a link to the radar image, although as it gets updated, it will be gone. Can anyone offer an explanation?
