Yep thats right Blizzard warnings are up. The ones in OH are for the Cleveland NWS Area from about Mansfield north and west to about Toledo. This doesnt include Metro Cleveland or areas to the east of there. Mainly to the nw of i71. And the ones in Michigan that were issued earlier are for the eastern areas of the state just to the north of Detroit. The pressure is really dropping off now. Its now down to about 998MB.
As far as i go i have a little over 2 inches so far from this. To be honest after seing whats been going on with this huge storm thats seems to be stronger then most models predicted i can only guess amounts will get over 6 inches here. How high they go i have no idea. Gonna be close though because all the good stuff is just to the south of here in IN and moving up this way as we speak (Thunder and lightening with it as well) but theere is gonna be a sharp cut off line on the nw side of it and that wont be to far from here. Hard to even say with that as we do have a stronger system.
Central OH right now is getting a very bad ice storm with this and amazingly enough i seen sleet reported in Dayton which wasnt expected at all but with such a stronger storm then expected there is a stronger push of warmer air aloft and in some cases near Columbus down at the surface as well. Temps in Columbus are running around 32 with heavy icing. May even go over to just rain for a short time. But it should change back to snow before ending dropping another couple of inches there as well. Hopefully the ice situation wont get out of hand like i have heard happening down in KY because like there after the storm passes the winds will be on the increase and with that there could be some big problems with power outages which wont be good at all considering by Friday morning and again Saturday morning (Christmas) temps will fall to if not below 0 in many of these locations.
More to come i am sure of on this historic storm for many in the OV.
Blizzard warnings for OH/MI!
