#1 Postby jinftl » Thu Dec 23, 2004 9:16 pm

12/23, 9PM conditions - 72 degrees, dewpoint 72 degrees, wind south at 3 mph.....feels more like a late spring evening. Does not look like the cold air is going to make it down here this go around......low temps not supposed to fall below 60s all weekend.

SOUTH FL. WEATHER

#2 Postby HURRICANELONNY » Fri Dec 24, 2004 8:09 am

Ya right. I think we will be in Spring till early Jan. At least according to the models. Don't see any big fronts pushing down for the rest of this year. With a weak el Nino it could be wetter then usual this winter. Have to wait and see how it pans out this winter. Hope we have a freeze down here this winter. http://www.cdc.noaa.gov/map/images/ens/ ... times.html

True....just amazing that there is wintry weather not too far from here (FL panhandle)....makes you realize what a big state Florida is, and what a distinct climate South Florida has from the rest of it this time of year.

As of 9am we are party cloudy with a temp of 76 degrees and a dewpoint of 74 degrees....we actually have a heat index of 80 degrees while everyone else is talking wind chills!
