The last few runs of the GFS are now indicating the pattern change back to colder weather that has been advertised for several weeks by wxguy among others. Large surge of colder air from Canda dives southward across areas East of the rockies and pretty much keeps the cold air in place through 384 hours. Additionally for me, it puts us in southwest flow, and indicates some systems moving in around this time. It looks pretty classic for a winter weather scenario, especially an ice storm, but it is way too soon to tell. Of course, this could change MANY times before the it gets here, but something finally to watch!
BTW, one of our local tv meteorologists is already predicting at least one winter weather threat for our area before the end of the month, so we'll see what happens next.
Pattern Change Could be on its way
