"Committed?"

#1 Postby GalvestonDuck » Wed Jan 05, 2005 5:41 pm

So, did anyone give NBC's newest romantic sitcom "Committed" a try last night?

Watched it, loved it!

First of all, she's blonde and, at least so far, seems to wear pink all the time. One word -- Amy!

Second, it's funny and quirky. And reminds me of me. There were three lines in last night's episodes that made me laugh so hard. First, was when she (Marni) was singing "Ma-nah Ma-nah" or however you spell that Muppet Show song. I always loved those guys when they did that. So, she sings it and then she looks at her date (not Nate yet) and says, "Ok, this is where you do the 'Doo-doo Doo-doo-doo' part." I guess ya had to see it...and be a fan of that silliness...but I loved it! Then, in another scene, she quoted my motto, "You can find anything on the Internet." And then later, when he (Nate) was talking about her to his best friend and he says, "I finally meet someone who is the right combination of sincere, witty, and has nice lips...." Once again -- Amy.

The second ep is on tomorrow night during Must-See-TV (without ER). I suppose I'll live. :)

Gosh, if the three of us sat down for lunch together, what would we talk about? Linda would have to do all the talking.

I like it too....I have it on my TIVO season pass. I LOVE TIVO. I can tape all the shows I can't watch with the kids! I TIVO'd Medium too. Although I wasn't that impressed with the first episode, I'm gonna give it another chance. Next up is American Idol and 24 :)

Yeh that blonde lady is hilarious, very similar to Dharma from "Dharma and Greg" or Pheobe from "Friends" don't you think?

Definitely! When I was explaining the first episode to a friend of mine, she said it sounded like "Dharma and Greg" because Nate and Marni are like yin and yang opposites.

I watched it and thought it was pretty good. I laughed alot. I like Jennifer Finigan. She used to be on the Bold and the Beautiful and is a really funny girl too. :)
